**Job Summary**

Mercy Hampton Ltd is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer with a mechanical or electrical background to join their dynamic team in the North of England. As a key member of our packaging partner's team, you will be responsible for performing on-site installation, commissioning, and maintenance of packaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and maintenance of packaging equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in packaging machinery
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Provide technical support and training to clients on proper equipment usage
  • Complete accurate service reports and maintain detailed documentation

Requirements:

  • Hands-on technical experience with electro-mechanical systems, ideally within the packaging industry or a similar field
  • Proficiency in fault diagnosis, particularly with PLC logic, and experience working with machine and electrical parts, components, and assembly
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a field service role, preferably in the packaging industry
  • Strong electrical/mechanical technical skills, including the ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel within the region
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
