We are looking for a highly experienced engineering leader who can define the strategic direction for software engineering across the company, manage a large and growing team of engineers, and foster a culture of support and inclusion. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software engineering algorithms, data structures, infrastructure, and systems design, with experience in adopting state-of-the-art technologies and promoting a data-driven approach.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing engineering best practices, integrating software development methodologies, and collaborating with other core functions across the company. They will also be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring that stakeholders are well informed on the health of the engineering team and the progress of the team's work.

We are seeking someone with significant experience providing leadership and direction for professional development in an engineering institution, with a firm grasp of current trends within engineering, including cloud deployments, microservice architectures, and large-scale data ingestion. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to influence at all levels and across various departments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, algorithms, data structures, and systems design, with previous experience in a dynamic, fast-paced product development environment. Experience building diverse and inclusive teams with a positive team culture is also highly desirable.
