Supported Housing Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supported Housing Support Worker to join our team at YMCA West Sussex Transitional Housing. As a key member of our housing team, you will play a vital role in providing safe and supportive accommodation for young people aged 18-25 who have been, or are at risk of homelessness.
Key Responsibilities- Work with the Deputy Supported Housing Manager and the wider housing team to provide effective day-to-day management of our transitional accommodation service.
- Develop and maintain a caseload of residents, working creatively and effectively to develop their assets and talents and to acquire the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
- Contribute to the smooth and safe running of the service by providing consistency and reliability.
- Support young people to safeguard themselves against abuse and risk.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about being involved in the support and growth of young people and can actively encourage residents into education, training, and employment. Ideally, you will have knowledge and experience of working with young people, knowledge of housing and welfare benefits, along with an awareness of all aspects of safeguarding.
You will be a team player but also able to work on your own initiative, with clear verbal and written communication skills, good IT skills, and a calm, yet assertive manner.
