Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Anaesthetic Practitioner to join our team at Stonor Medical. As an Anaesthetic Practitioner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our theatres, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perioperative Care: Provide individualized nursing/ODP care to patients undergoing anaesthesia, adhering to guidelines and protocols.
  • Theatre Management: Assist in the daily planning and organization of the theatres, ensuring efficient use of resources and equipment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all anaesthetic equipment is properly checked and maintained, adhering to safety standards.
  • Medication Administration: Administer controlled drugs in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with departmental and ward staff to ensure seamless patient care and transfer.
  • Pre- and Post-Operative Care: Participate in pre- and post-operative visits, providing comprehensive care and support to patients.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Must be a qualified nurse or ODP, registered with the NMC or HCPC, with an up-to-date PIN number and no restrictions.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in the NHS or private sector, with a strong background in anaesthetic care.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
