Job Title: Senior Pharmacist - Liver Pharmacy Team

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Pharmacist to join our Liver Pharmacy Team at King's College Hospital. The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical pharmacy and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Job Summary:

The Senior Pharmacist will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to the in-patient liver wards and liver theatres, as well as participating in pharmacist-led outpatient clinics. The post holder will also deputise for the team leader and cover the general hepatology service.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to in-patient liver wards and liver theatres
  • Participate in pharmacist-led outpatient clinics
  • Deputise for the team leader and cover the general hepatology service
  • Develop and implement clinical pharmacy guidelines and protocols
  • Supervise and train pharmacy staff
  • Provide education and training to healthcare professionals
Requirements:
  • MPharm (Masters Degree)
  • Registered Pharmacist (1 year competency assessed and examined professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council)
  • Postgraduate Diploma in pharmacy practice or equivalent qualification/experience
  • Specialist clinical knowledge and skills relevant to area of practice
  • Experience of working with senior healthcare professionals outside of pharmacy
  • Experience of supervising others
  • Experience of protocol/guideline development
  • Experience of multi-disciplinary team working
