Accounting Manager Job Description

About the Role:

As an Accounting Manager at CFGI, you will play a key role in leading project teams and interacting with clients and their Big 4 auditors on all aspects of engagements, including report writing and developing and managing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead project teams and interact with clients and their Big 4 auditors on all aspects of engagements.
  2. Develop and manage client relationships, ensuring positive resolutions to conflicts.
  3. Review work prepared by consultants on operational due diligence for complex transactions.
  4. Research and document projects related to new accounting standards, process improvement, and implementations.
  5. Lead and mentor consultants, acting as a role model and providing creative solutions that enhance the consultant's overall experience.
  6. Participate in the firm's recruiting efforts, client relationship building, and business development efforts.

Requirements:

  1. An undergraduate degree – ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA and/or MBA combined with solid accounting experience.
  2. Five to seven years of experience in public accounting and/or industry accounting and/or finance.
  3. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with an ability to assimilate easily into teams.
  4. Strong technical skills and a working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
  5. Proactive in identifying client needs and effective in building a strong relationship with clients.
  6. Highly organized and focused and demonstrates ability to set overall engagement expectations and direction.
  7. Effective analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  8. Entrepreneurial nature, self-motivated, ethical, and dependable.
  9. High energy with commitment to quality client service.
