Job Title: Autism Care and Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate care professional to join our team as an Autism Care and Support Worker. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with autism and learning difficulties, providing support and guidance in daily activities.

About the Role:
  • This is a part-time position, approximately 17 hours per week, which can be adapted to suit the successful candidate.
  • The successful candidate will work alongside a young person with autism and learning difficulties, providing support and assistance with daily activities, socializing, and leisure pursuits.
  • The role will involve transporting the individual to a social enterprise in East Bristol on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10am-1pm, and engaging in various activities such as swimming, walking, and crafts at other times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support and guidance to the young person with autism and learning difficulties.
  • Transporting the individual to social events and activities.
  • Assisting with daily activities, such as meal preparation, personal care, and household chores.
  • Engaging in leisure pursuits and socializing with the young person.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with autism and learning difficulties.
  • Ability to provide emotional support and guidance.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Basic knowledge of autism and its effects on daily life.

Schedule, Pay & Hours:

Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Hours: 8:30am - 5pm (with flexibility)

Salary: £24,400 per annum, equivalent to £12.20 per hour
