Company Overview

We are a reputable educational institution seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as an Education Support Specialist.

Salary

The salary for this position is approximately £8600 per year, increasing to the National Minimum Wage after the first 12 months. The apprenticeship will be undertaken on a part-time basis of 30 hours per week, spread across a 39-week term.

Job Description

This role requires a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who can support teachers in various roles within the classroom. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs (ALN)
  • Assisting students with their numeracy and literacy skills
  • Providing ICT support to pupils
  • Helping children who require extra support to complete tasks
  • Working with children aged 11 to 18 years

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a passion for working with children, possess relevant qualities such as patience and communication, and show professionalism at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants should hold or be willing to work towards a Level 2 or 3 supporting, teaching & learning qualification. Additionally, GCSE English and Math qualifications at grade C or above (or equivalent) are desirable.
