Job Title: KS3 Tutor - Special Educational Needs

Location: Redcar

We are seeking a passionate and committed SEN Tutor to provide tailored support and guidance to students with special educational needs in English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level. The successful candidate will create individualised learning plans, deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and collaborate with other education professionals to ensure students' academic success.

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant teaching qualification – QTS is desirable.
  • A degree in Education or a related field.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Tuition sessions will take place in either the students' homes or local Community Hubs/Libraries, liaising with parents and other education professionals.

We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education', this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.

We offer FREE online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training to all our workers. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
