Job Title: Legal Assistant

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
This role is ideal for an ambitious and enthusiastic individual who is looking to develop their skills in Wills, Probate and Private Client law. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of solicitors to prepare Wills, applications for Grant of Probate/Representation and Powers of Attorney.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing Wills, applications for Grant of Probate/Representation and Powers of Attorney using online applications with OPG, HMCTS and HMLR as necessary
- Ensuring good client communication, both face-to-face and remotely
- Undertaking fee-earning work, subject to supervision
- Maintaining regular fee earning at agreed levels
- Providing excellent standards of customer service
- Building strong working relationships with clients and colleagues
- Demonstrating a 'can-do attitude' and willingness to help grow the department
- Developing strong IT, typing skills and confidence in preparing written documents
- Complying with existing LEXCEL accreditation
- Achieving independent further qualifications such as STEP certification or Association of Lifetime Lawyers
