Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join Hunter Savage as a skilled Machining Technician. We are seeking a highly experienced individual to work on our cutting-edge equipment, producing high-quality automotive components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual machining and CNC programming, with experience in setting up and operating various machines.

The successful applicant will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and possess strong communication skills. They will also have the ability to read and understand engineering drawings, as well as interpret specifications and procedures.

As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for making components and spare parts from drawings, carrying out complex machining repairs, and manufacturing EDM electrodes. You will also be required to set up and operate EDM and Wire Erosion machines, as well as use overhead cranes and lifting equipment.

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 per annum, plus shift premium for all shift roles. Essential Criteria:
  • Time-served machinist
  • Experience in all aspects of manual machining
  • Experience in setting up/programming/prove out of CNC machines
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience of spark and wire erosion would be advantageous
  • Experience of Nitriding/Heat treatment process
  • Experience of Faro/CMM measuring equipment
