Job Description

This position involves installing, operating, and maintaining advanced audiovisual (AV) and interpretation systems for live events, including Bosch, Televic, Taiden, Sennheiser, and other related systems. You will set up and deconstruct interpretation booths using modular components that require on-site assembly. Additionally, you will operate general AV equipment for hybrid meetings, such as screens, PA systems, and PTZ cameras, providing technical support for both in-person and hybrid event setups.

You will be responsible for driving company vans to and from event locations, assisting with the loading and unloading of equipment at the warehouse and event venues. Professional interaction with clients, interpreters, and other event suppliers is essential to ensure smooth communication and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, operate, and maintain AV and interpretation equipment.
  • Set up and deconstruct interpretation booths.
  • Operate general AV equipment for hybrid meetings.
  • Provide technical support for event setups.
  • Drive company vans and assist with equipment loading/unloading.
  • Interact professionally with clients and suppliers.

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements
  1. Fully qualified driver with experience driving vans.
  2. 1-2 years of experience working with AV equipment in live event settings.
  3. Physically capable of handling and lifting heavy equipment in compliance with manual handling legislation.
  4. Familiarity with a broad range of AV equipment.
  5. Knowledge of networking fundamentals and IP-based AV equipment.
  6. Experience with virtual event platforms and hybrid event setups.
  7. Previous experience driving large vans or vehicles with a long wheelbase, particularly around London.

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
