Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified English Language Development Teacher to join our team at Albert Einstein High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and providing English language development instruction for students who have been identified as eligible for ELD services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver ELD instruction to students in grades [insert grades]
  • Collaborate with administrators, counselors, and other school staff to support individual Emergent Multilingual Learner (EML) students and their needs
  • Serve as a resource for information regarding students who are EML, cultural and linguistic differences, English language development, and the ELD instructional program
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and community members to support student success
Requirements
  • Hold Maryland teacher certification in ESOL/ELD
  • Considerable knowledge of second language teaching/learning methods and techniques
  • Ability to work effectively with administrators, counselors, and other school staff in organizing and implementing the ELD instructional program
  • Fluency in another language, in addition to English, preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience working with Emergent Multilingual Learners and their families
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position working [insert number] hours bi-weekly. The successful candidate will be required to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the ELD program.
