Job Summary

The Warehouse Team Leader will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse facilities, working closely with the Shift Manager to optimize labor utilization and productivity. This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their skills and progress in a management career path within the FMCG industry.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and motivate the shift team to achieve productivity and service KPIs
  • Oversee the Goods Inwards area and Loading bays to ensure efficient receipt and storage of goods
  • Develop and train team members to maximize their contributions to the warehouse
  • Carry out disciplinary and grievance procedures in line with company policy
  • Support the Shift Manager in ad hoc duties and provide cover for the Operations Controller
  • Oversee the cross-docking process and ensure compliance with health and safety policies
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment and conduct daily shift briefs
  • Monitor and control the work environment to optimize efficiency
  • Ensure shifts are performed in line with workload and KPIs
  • Utilize resources to their full potential

Requirements

  • Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Investigative and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility in approach to work and shift patterns
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to work at height
  • Previous FLT/MHE experience required, VNA experience desirable
