Maintenance Engineer

Join Arla Foods Deutschland GmbH as a Maintenance Engineer and take on a challenging role in our flagship UK dairy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing specialist maintenance and engineering support to our fully automated site. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our complex process equipment, including homogenizers, pasteurization systems, separators, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical, mechanical, and controls fault finding of all dairy process equipment.
  • Ensure legal compliance and efficient operation of all plant within budget while promoting continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with all departments, including the site Energy Centre, to effectively manage customer relations.

Requirements:

  • Recognized time-served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline with HNC/HND.
  • Demonstrate logical thought processes and ways of working.
  • 3 years of recent experience in an automated process environment, preferably in the food, drinks, brewing, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Technical expertise in process-related plant and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation.
  • Skilled in reading SCADA visualizations.

Functional Skill Set:

  • Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM)
  • Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)
  • Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM)
  • Use of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) - SAP Maintenance Module
  • Deliver day-to-day and preventive maintenance on all site servers, drivers, and automation systems.
  • Participate in and lead local CI initiatives, taking ownership of projects and delivering tangible results.

Arla Foods Deutschland GmbH's flagship UK dairy is an exciting place to work, with a capacity of 1.5 million liters per day. We were the first dairy site to use AGV technology to move TETs with milk, and our cold store area is 1.5 times the size of Wembley's football pitch.
