Overview



We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Contract Manager to join our team at Randstad Construction and Property. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of civil engineering schemes, including major highway improvements, aviation projects, rail projects, water and utilities, and specialist framework projects.



Salary and Benefits



The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £52,000 per annum, plus a range of benefits. This is a permanent position with opportunities for career progression and professional development.



Job Description



This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-known civils contractor, holding an excellent reputation nationwide. You will be site/office based, ideally 5 days a week, with some flexibility if required.



Your responsibilities will include:




  • Procuring sub-contractors, agreeing prices, and letting packages
  • Negotiating costs with various parties
  • Drawing up contracts (NEC)
  • Monthly reporting (CVR)
  • Responsible for work package change control and management
  • Dealing with any pricing variations
  • Responsible for project re-measure
  • Preparing final accounts
  • Change management
  • Managing subcontractors
  • Working within an integrated team


Requirements



To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • NEC 3 or 4 (Option B and E experience)
  • Degree/HND in Quantity Surveying
  • Excellent IT and maths skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent report writing and negotiation skills
  • Experience in highways, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, frameworks, and special works
