About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our Business and IT department at Central Bedfordshire College. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality education to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teaching staff in the planning and delivery of educational activities, ensuring a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Prepare and maintain learning resources, including digital materials, to enhance student engagement and understanding.
  • Act as a class cover for tutors in the event of absence, providing continuity and ensuring minimal disruption to student learning.
  • Support students with special educational needs, providing individualized assistance and accommodations as required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective strategies for student support and progress monitoring.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of six months' experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to plan and deliver educational activities, using a range of teaching and learning strategies.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems and software, including learning management platforms and educational tools.
