Food Technician

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food Technician to join our Design and Technology department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing practical activities for staff and students, advising teachers on health and safety, and maintaining equipment and materials.

• Keeping up to date with the latest health and safety guidance, legal requirements, and good practice.
• Advising teachers on health and safety, practical techniques, and safe storage of food produce.
• Preparing practical activities for staff and students.
• Helping and advising pupils with practical cooking lessons.
• Researching and trialling equipment and practicals for future projects.
• Maintaining inventories and stock lists.
• Maintaining equipment and materials are safe and in good order, including mandatory checks.
