Job Summary:

WR Logistics is seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team. As a Transport Planner, you will play a crucial role in planning the movements of UK-wide freight, working closely with our experienced and skilled team to ensure efficient and effective logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate the movement of freight across the UK, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including operations, sales, and customer service teams.
  • Collaborate with external partners, such as carriers and suppliers, to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Monitor and analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and optimize logistics operations.

Requirements:

  • UK Transport experience, preferably in container or general haulage.
  • Excellent geographical knowledge and understanding of UK transportation networks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
