Job Summary:

Hampshire County Council is seeking a highly motivated and technically strong Bridge Engineer to join our dynamic and developing Design Teams. As a Bridge Engineer, you will be responsible for project management and design of a wide variety of bridge replacement, strengthening, and maintenance schemes, as well as the inspection and assessment of current bridges and other highway structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage bridge replacement, strengthening, and maintenance schemes
  • Inspect and assess current bridges and other highway structures
  • Work closely with senior members of the team to learn and expand your experience
  • Have a good understanding of relevant design standards (Eurocodes), construction methods, and contract procedures

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of relevant design standards (Eurocodes), construction methods, and contract procedures
  • Ability to work closely with senior members of the team
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of bridge design and maintenance
