NIO, a pioneering electric vehicle manufacturer, is seeking an exceptional Aerodynamics Specialist to join its team. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop current and future vehicle programs and simulation methodologies, performing CFD setup, analysis, and correlation of aeroacoustic simulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Learn and develop new CFD capabilities to enhance vehicle performance and user experience
  • Perform external and internal aeroacoustics CFD simulations, providing design recommendations throughout the design phase
  • Present CFD results and recommendations to global program teams
  • Correlate CFD results with acoustic wind tunnel data on prototype and production vehicles
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Aeroacoustics, CFD, Aerospace, or Aerodynamics
  • Industry experience with CFD; higher experience levels are welcome
  • Hands-on experience with Simulia PowerFLOW and ANSA preferred
  • Ability to understand and/or write Python code beneficial

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of aerodynamics and CFD principles, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively. Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
