Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Security Engineer to join our team in the East/West Midlands region, with the opportunity to work on various security projects across the UK. As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of security systems, including intruder alarms, CCTV systems, and access control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install and commission security systems, including intruder alarms, CCTV systems, and access control systems, in accordance with current standards and codes of practice.
  2. Work within project time constraints, identifying and communicating potential risks to project delivery dates.
  3. Communicate with project managers to ensure projects are completed snag-free and to specification.
  4. Hold relevant security qualifications and have a full understanding of BS5839.
  5. Undertake relevant training as required.
  6. Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of yourself and the team in accordance with company policy.
  7. Actively support company policy and best practice in the area of fire and security, with particular emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer information.
  8. Knowledge of integration of detection and CCTV systems into other disciplines would be a real advantage.
  9. Product knowledge of Honeywell Galaxy Intruder, ACT, and Honeywell Access Control, Analogue and IP CCTV systems would be advantageous, including full programming of systems.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have:

  1. A proven background and experience of working on CCTV, intruder, and access control projects.
  2. Knowledge of Honeywell Galaxy Intruder, ACT, Honeywell Access Control, Analogue and IP CCTV systems would be a real advantage.
  3. Ability to install and commission systems for CCTV, intruder alarm, access control, and other bespoke security systems.
  4. The ability to work alone and effectively organize your time.
  5. A full clean driving license and a willingness to travel to locations across the UK.
  6. ECS/CSCS Card.
  7. A flexible attitude to working hours and willingness to travel across the country, including some overnight stays.
  8. Previous experience of working within a retail security systems environment.
  9. Network/IP based product experience.

Desirable:

Ideally have SSSTS or SMSTS cards or a willingness to achieve these.

Supervisor experience including full project delivery.
