Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled PCV Driver to join our team at London Hire Group. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for providing a professional driving service to our clients and service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to local road restrictions and speed limits.
  • Ensure mandatory vehicle checks are undertaken prior to each use, reporting any defects to the office.
  • Secure passengers and wheelchair users correctly in the vehicle, using necessary safety equipment.
  • Manage vehicle fuel levels, refueling as required or instructed.
  • Maintain the vehicle's interior and exterior, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • Remove and replace seating as needed.
  • Park vehicles in designated bays, adhering to depot procedures.
  • Operate the passenger lift and other equipment to assist passengers safely.
  • Communicate with passengers and clients in a patient and informative manner.
  • Assist the Passenger Assistant with their duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Hold a full, unrestricted D driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
  • Hold a valid CPC qualification card, with mandatory training up to date.
  • Minimum of two years' experience driving a bus or coach.
  • Willing to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
  • Hold a current, valid D4 medical examination report.
