About the Role

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and has a proven track record as a commercial estimator within the asphalt industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fully understand project scope and requirements by studying documentation, meeting with clients, and visiting relevant locations.
  • Collect necessary documentation such as plans, drawings, and project specifications.
  • Read and engage with blueprints and other Scope of Work plans.
  • Create and submit estimates to project managers.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a Commercial Asphalt Estimator.
  • Ability to forecast building costs and knowledge of estimation formulas.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Skilled in relevant software (BlueBook, etc).
  • Excellent research, writing, and negotiation skills.
