Job Description

Role Overview

The British Academy of Jewellery is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Design Educator to join our team. As a key member of our academic staff, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and digital technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver high-quality teaching and learning materials, including curriculum design and assessment strategies.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to students, including one-to-one tutorials and group sessions.
  • Contribute to the development of our digital design program, including the creation of new courses and modules.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective learning experience for our students.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in digital design, and incorporate this knowledge into your teaching and research.

Requirements

  • Relevant undergraduate and postgraduate degree in a related field, such as digital design, CAD, or jewellery design.
  • Experience of teaching and assessing in a higher education environment, preferably in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of digital design software, including CAD programs and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and industry partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
