Job Title: English Teacher - SEMH

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting an English Teacher for a fantastic SEMH School based in Preston.

About the Role

The schools students often require support to build trusting relationships with professionals and you will have high expectations and a belief that they can succeed. You will be someone who can think outside the box with creative lessons for our onsite and offsite students, as well as bring a unique element to the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that the teaching area is organised appropriately to provide a safe, tidy, pleasant and stimulating environment.
  • Planning and delivering an appropriate curriculum based on individual needs having due regard to pupil entitlement.
  • Teaching a range of subjects at different levels across the key stages.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with families/carers.

Requirements

QTS/PGCE
Minimum 1 year English Teaching experience in the UK
Experience working with SEN (advantageous)
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

Eligibility

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references
