Industrial Electrician

Smurfit Kappa is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical design and installation, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities, by designing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical faults and malfunctions, and collaborating with other engineers and technicians to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, install, and maintain electrical systems and equipment in accordance with relevant codes and regulations.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and malfunctions in a safe and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize production processes.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including electrical schematics and specifications.
- Participate in regular training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Relevant electrical qualifications, such as HNC or degree level.
- Proven experience in electrical design and installation, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A competitive salary of £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
