Commercial Litigation Team

We are seeking a talented NQ Commercial Litigation Lawyer to join our Glasgow office.

Team Background

The commercial litigation team is part of our Litigation, Regulatory & Tax department, which has 4 partners and 12 fee earners. The team is known for its friendly and inclusive atmosphere, and we are looking for a candidate who will fit in with this ethos.

Work Highlights

  • Represented a medical device manufacturer in a series of product liability claims.
  • Advised a property investment fund on its fire safety obligations and its interaction with the fire and rescue service pending remediation of issues with cladding and compartmentation.
  • Advised a local authority on its current fire and building safety responsibilities as a landlord, planning authority, and building control body.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified in Scotland and/or England & Wales or soon to be qualified.
  • Experience in a large commercial practice, with a willingness to learn new skills.
  • A team player, able to forge strong working relationships with colleagues in an agile environment.
  • Technically strong, with good commercial judgment.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary for a client-facing role.
  • A "can-do" attitude, with a willingness to work collaboratively and enthusiastically with colleagues and partners.
