Role Overview:

As a SEN Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a dynamic and inclusive school setting.

You will work closely with students, teachers, and other support staff to provide tailored support, promote independence, and encourage students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver individualized support to students with SEN, working closely with them to achieve their IEP goals.
  • Assist teaching staff in creating adaptive learning materials and implementing classroom activities that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment, promoting student independence and confidence.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant experience working with young people, preferably in a supporting role or with a background in education.
  • A strong passion for education and a commitment to supporting students with special needs.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with teachers, specialists, and other support staff.
