Job Title: Workshop Fitter

Cardiac Services is seeking a skilled Workshop Fitter to join our team in the Endoscopy workshop. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the correct operation of various types of endoscopes supplied by Cardiac Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, repair, disassemble, reassemble, troubleshoot, and test endoscopes returned to the workshop for evaluation.
  • Maintain accurate service records in line with our quality system.
  • Support the business needs by assisting staff in other areas of our business.
Requirements:
  • 4 GCSE's including Math and English.
  • Level 4/5 qualification or equivalent in Engineering/operations & maintenance.
  • Previous experience of repair and maintenance of flexible endoscopes is a distinct advantage.
  • 6 months to 1 year of electro-mechanical experience and/or demonstrable repair ability is required.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity with small hand tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, tweezers.
  • Ability to work with microscopes, test equipment and hand soldering irons.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to understand and follow manuals, work instructions, job standards and related information.
  • Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time. Attention to detail is vital.
  • Self-motivated and a demonstrable ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as required.
  • Possesses basic computer skills.
  • Ability to understand, implement and maintain the quality standards set by both Cardiac Services and the equipment manufacturer.
