Specialist Radiography Clinician

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as a Paediatric Imaging Sonographer at Birmingham Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will work primarily in the main radiology department, performing specialised paediatric ultrasound examinations and formulating concise and accurate reports. As a reporting Sonographer, they will be responsible for communicating results to clinicians and working collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient service delivery.
The ideal candidate will have specialist knowledge and skills in interpreting complex ultrasound imaging and have experience in paediatric ultrasound. They will also possess strong analytical and judgement skills, allowing them to accurately differentiate between normal and pathological findings. Key Responsibilities:
- Performing and interpreting paediatric ultrasound examinations to a high standard.
- Formulating reports and communicating results to clinicians.
- Working collaboratively with the team to develop and enhance ultrasound imaging services.
- Providing theoretical and clinical training for junior staff members.
- Participating in quality assurance testing and promoting continuous improvement in service delivery and quality.
We offer a competitive salary of £42,000 - £62,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive induction programme, ongoing training and development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
