About the Role
The Finance Business Partner will report to the Head of Commercial Finance in Landscapes as part of the Landscapes Finance team.
This role is responsible for the profit and loss of a portfolio of clients/contracts, including accurately and timely reporting performance to Gross Profit level. The Finance Business Partner will ensure that all revenue is recognised and reported in line with Group revenue recognition policy and maintains ultimate responsibility of the accuracy of the purchase accruals for their portfolio.
Main Responsibilities
- Contract Management - Manage the Profit and Loss for a portfolio of contracts/clients through regular, accurate and comprehensive reviews of GP performance on a monthly basis, including a review of revenue and costs.
- Liaison with Billing Team - Liaise and work with Billing team to ensure scheduled tasks billed as required.
- Accurate WIP and PO Management - Ensuring WIP and PO's managed and reported accurately.
- Establishing Strong Relationships - Establish strong working relationships with KAM's ensuring business knowledge is shared allowing for greater understanding of financial impact and recognition of potential financial opportunities.
- Contract Performance Review - Attend contract performance review calls that are relevant to the client portfolio.
- Management Information - Provision of accurate and timely management information.
- Month End Reporting - Month end reporting and commentary.
Additional Responsibilities
- Financial Order Management - Assisting with financial order management where required and providing cover for scheduled billing requirements.
- Team Support - Supporting other team members where necessary.
Requirements
- Part qualified or studying (AAT, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Keen interest in understanding business and its contracts and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- IT Literate and a strong knowledge of MS Excel.
- Good written, verbal and presentational skills, adept at problem solving.
- Ability to work with high volumes of data, to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Proven ability to prioritise workloads.
- The ability to work within a team and individually.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Previous experience within a commercially-based or management accounting role would be advantageous.
