About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at WGM Engineering Ltd.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Project Engineer to play a key role in the delivery of projects across various sectors. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with relevant management.
  • Coordinate procurement and site activities on a project.
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
  • Provide support to the management team.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as required.
  • Train to Approved Person (AP) level in relation to Electrical Safety Rules (ESR) and Isolation Safety Rules (ISR) where appropriate to the role.
  • Undertake site surveys, taking measurements, photos, asking questions of operations, understanding of process, assessing access and egress.
  • Resolve technical and logistical issues as they arise.
  • Support the sites' needs, material, labour, resources, plant.
  • Drive and lead procurement of materials through creation and review of bill of materials.
  • Evaluate, organize, and prioritize workload within the schedule.
  • Attend client meetings.
  • Liaise with clients.
Requirements
  • At least 2-3 years previous experience within a similar Project engineering role ideally within an engineering or similar industry background.
  • Ideal qualification to degree level within an engineering discipline.
  • A good understanding of water and waste water industry and processes is preferable.
  • The ability to write detailed reports and have a clear understanding of NEC form of contract is required within the role.
  • A full UK driving license is required as there will be travel to various sites across the country.
Salary Information

Estimated salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
