Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Construction Graduate Project Planner to join our Landscaping team at Ground Control. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing landscape construction projects across the UK.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules to ensure all activities are planned effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Construction Managers, Site Supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless coordination of resources, materials, and labor.
  • Upskill our operations teams on the need for accurate project planning.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement contingency plans to keep projects on track.
  • Assist in budget forecasting, cost management, and resource allocation to optimize project delivery.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on project timelines, risks, and critical paths.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation and reporting.

About the Role:

This is a great opportunity for an innovative Construction Management or Project Management graduate with some experience of project planning. You will need:

  • Some experience using planning software such as Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, or similar.
  • A strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and propose effective solutions.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
