About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to lead our clinical pharmacy service for Adult Diabetes Services. As a key member of the Medical Specialties Division, you will work closely with the Adult Diabetes team to deliver a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service, collaborating with primary care and other organisations across the North Central London Integrated Care System.

You will be responsible for leading the day-to-day clinical pharmacy service, informing therapeutic decision-making, and using independent prescribing skills to optimise diabetes medication regimens. You will also act as an expert resource and point of contact for the diabetes MDT, other UCLH staff, and patients requiring information about diabetes medicines.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Delivering a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service to Adult Diabetes Services
  • Informing therapeutic decision-making and using independent prescribing skills to optimise diabetes medication regimens
  • Acting as an expert resource and point of contact for the diabetes MDT, other UCLH staff, and patients requiring information about diabetes medicines

Requirements:

  • Masters of Pharmacy degree or equivalent
  • Full registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Minimum of three years post-registration experience as a dedicated substantive clinical pharmacist practitioner
  • Six years experience post-registration with the GPhC
  • Diploma or MSc in Clinical Pharmacy
  • Independent prescriber registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Undertaken management training courses

Benefits: A salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
