Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding career as a freelance interpreter? Do you have excellent language skills and a passion for facilitating communication between people who speak different languages?

We are currently recruiting for freelance interpreters to work with us in various settings, including the NHS, local authorities, police, probation, and other public and private organizations. As an interpreter with Language Empire, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from legal proceedings to healthcare services.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent language skills, both spoken and written. You should be fluent in English and another language, and possess formal qualifications such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, or a degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £25-30 per hour, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. As a self-employed interpreter, you will have the flexibility to choose your own schedule and work at your own pace.

In addition to your interpreting duties, you will also be required to liaise between service users and providers, check non-English speakers' understanding after each sentence, and deal with confidential information.
