Supply Chain Project Manager - Global Operations Expert
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Project Manager to join our team at Triumph Group. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading global aerospace and defense company, where you will be responsible for managing Work Transfer activity between Triumph's UK suppliers and suppliers in lower-cost economies.
The successful candidate will report to the Operating Company Director for Supply Chain and will work closely with the in-region team to ensure a seamless transfer of parts from one supplier to another.
Key Responsibilities• Manage Work Transfer Projects in line with Triumph's supply chain management processes, defining project deliverables, risk assessments, detailed project planning, action owners, progress tracking, overlap plans, CMPT & PPI alignment, and maintaining project schedules.
• Collaborate with business functions such as Supply Chain, Quality, Program Management, Engineering, etc., to ensure full product/part manufacturing knowledge is transferred to the in-region team before the Work Transfer is launched.
• Work with the in-region team to ensure supplier technical requirements reviews, production readiness, and first article flow plans are robust and in place to deliver projects in compliance with customer requirements.
• Support visits from LCE suppliers for business reviews, technical assessments, etc.
• Manage POs for PNs that are in the WT Phase and exit supplier relationships to ensure orderly transfers without creating risks to the business.
• Provide regular updates to business stakeholders, OpCo leadership, and corporate supply chain leadership on Work Transfer progress and identify areas needing help.
• Support the improvement of Triumph supply chain processes.
Reporting deadlines are achieved according to the agreed delivery plan, goals set and achieved through ongoing appraisal.
Qualifications and CriteriaBachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Management or a related field (ideally Supply Chain) or Engineering. CIPS or APICS qualification preferred.
Strong project management skills and experience, excellent organizational skills, time management, and ability to multitask. Familiarity with Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, and Production Planning concepts. Excellent IT skills – MS Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint), analytical and problem-solving skills, collaboration, teamwork across international multicultural workforce.
Estimated salary range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
