Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Retail/Post Assistant to join our team at SPAR Handforth. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing sales, and providing support with post office services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximise sales by delivering outstanding customer service and promoting our products.
  • Control costs and maintain a high level of stock management.
  • Operate the till and handle cash transactions efficiently.
  • Process bill payments, car tax payments, vehicle registration, passport, and driving licence applications.
  • Sell financial products and services to meet targets.
  • Control and replenish stock levels to meet customer demand.
  • Maintain security within the store according to Company procedures.

About You

We are looking for individuals who are reliable, hardworking, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. Previous experience in retail and post office is preferred but not essential. You should be helpful, friendly, and comfortable working with the public. We also require you to be enthusiastic, committed, and self-motivated, with the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
