Job Title: Residential Children's Services Team Leader

Headway Adolescent Children's Services is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our Residential Children's Services team in Highbridge.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the needs of young people in our care are met, providing a positive and safe living experience, and managing and leading Residential Support Workers to deliver high-quality childcare.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work on shift to ensure the Home runs efficiently and effectively, safeguarding young people at all times.
  • Manage Residential Support Workers, delivering supervision in accordance with company policy.
  • Comply with the Company's Safeguarding Policies and Procedures.
  • Support effective multi-agency working and positive relationships with staff, the local community, and other professional agencies.
  • Comply with company guidelines on Codes of Conduct and set an acceptable role model standard within the home.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of young people's Plans.
  • Support and complement the reviewing and monitoring process in the development of Care Planning.
  • Promote anti-discriminatory and equal opportunity practices in line with Company Policy.
  • Comply with legislation and company policies on Health & Safety, Fire, and Data Protection.
Essential Skills:
  • Good overall standard of education.
  • Working towards or hold Level Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Child Care legislation, children's home regulations, and quality standards.
  • Previous experience of working directly with young people with challenging behavior.
  • Good report writing and numeracy skills, well-organized with good administration skills, and IT literate.
  • Able to relate to young people with empathy and committed to a high standard of childcare and achieving the best outcomes for young people in their care.
  • Strong motivational, management, and leadership potential, able to supervise, support, and develop Residential Support Workers to create a cohesive team.
