Inventory Control Manager

We're seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of our inventory control processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate inventory control maintenance and random counts to ensure compliance and consistency with SOX.
- Measure quality, inventory integrity, and accuracy, providing proactive feedback to the operations management team.
- Review and analyze customer complaints and defect data, developing action plans to reduce future incidents.
- Plan for and identify root causes of inventory deviation, using cause and effect analysis.
- Participate and lead network-wide fulfillment and operations-focused quality initiatives.
- Strategic planning and forecasting, assigning and directing work.
- Lead and supervise a team of area managers and hourly associates in Inventory Control/Quality Assurance operations within the Fulfillment Center.
- Manage Area Manager(s) in ICQA functions and drive team performance.
- Ensure process discipline is adhered to across all shifts and departments.
- Review KPIs daily, weekly, or monthly, performing control and quality analysis on behaviors/processes impacting inventory integrity.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify and understand key projects, initiatives, and system enhancements.
- Work with Loss Prevention teams to establish, influence, and adhere to Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
- Liaise with Operations Managers, Senior Operations Managers, and General Managers to communicate policies related to process discipline.
- Support interviewing and hiring new managers.
- Demonstrated solid proficiency in time management skills, confidence in organizing vast amounts of data.
- Highly dependable, able to manage business functions operating 24/7 (including holidays), managing time efficiently to get the job done.
- Strong commitment to employee development, exceptional level of dedication, motivation, and intelligence.
- Degree in a science or logistics-based discipline, with a strong bias towards analytics and data advantageous.
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting functions, with a grasp of how inventory and accounts relate to each other.
- Previous Inventory Control and Quality Assurance Management experience.
