TPF Recruitment, a leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountancy Professional to join a reputable firm of chartered accountants in East Kent.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Senior Manager, or Partner Designate to take on a challenging role with fantastic progression prospects, including the possibility of partnership in the near future.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts, tax, and VAT, with experience in managing a portfolio of work across various industries. They will be responsible for leading client meetings, reviewing and preparing annual accounts, and contributing to the firm's growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.

As a Senior Accountancy Professional in East Kent, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a varied client portfolio, ensuring deadlines and client needs are met.
  • Reviewing and preparing annual accounts, VAT, payroll, tax returns, and other statutory requirements.
  • Leading client meetings, answering any queries, and proactively offering support.
  • Assisting with general tax planning, working closely with the team.
  • Supporting junior members of staff.
  • Contributing to the firm's growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of experience within practice.
  • Experience working as a Senior or Manager within a practice environment, with hands-on experience in accounts, tax, and VAT.
  • Cloud Accounting software experience, such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
  • Previous experience motivating a team and supporting junior staff.
