About the Role

As a Programme Reporting Specialist at Network Rail, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio reporting framework that ensures timely and high-quality inputs. You will coordinate multiple reports at various levels, including partners, stakeholders, executive, and sponsor groups, to provide consistent messaging and outcomes.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and maintain the Portfolio reporting "drumbeat" cycle to ensure timely and high-quality inputs.
  • Responsible for all portfolio reporting products, to stakeholders, funders, the sponsor group, and the portfolio teams.
  • Maintain high-quality reporting, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation that supports effective decision making.
  • Exercising sound judgement to tailor each report to its intended audience, providing consistency and transparency while also preserving confidentiality.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a matrix/collaborative context, securing outputs and insight from partners and organisations that are independent and have different objectives.
  • Extensive experience of coordinating multiple reports at multiple levels – partners, stakeholders, executive, sponsor groups.
  • Experience of managing stakeholders at multiple levels to secure consistent messaging and outcomes.
  • Demonstrable experience of establishing reporting frameworks and processes that drive consistency and efficiency in complex programme or portfolio environments.
  • Knowledge or experience of implementing reporting tools and techniques such as Power Bi.
  • Knowledge of programme and project controls processes and systems.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience with Project Controls within Network Rail.
