Job Summary:

The Trafford College Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Library Services Facilitator to join our team. As a key member of our library services, you will play a vital role in providing effective learning spaces and resources to support independent learning and a welcoming service for all members of the College.

About the Role:

We are looking for someone who can work within our libraries, providing support and a high-quality customer service to the users of the Library. You will be responsible for answering queries, assisting with the use of IT and resources, and supporting students to focus on their studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a service to students and staff, answering queries and assisting with the use of IT and resources.
  • Deliver library inductions to both students and staff, delivering independent research and study skills sessions to groups of learners alongside teaching staff throughout the academic year.
  • Liaise with designated FE curriculum teams to ensure the library has the relevant resources for the curriculum area.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have a level 3 Library or initial teaching/training qualification (e.g. PTLLS) or a commitment to achieve within two years and Maths and English at Level 2 or equivalent. A level 2 IT qualification (e.g. ECDL) would be desirable.
