We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Preston, Lancashire, UK. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for producing design solutions using AutoCAD / Inventor and associated drawings required for both design proposals and manufacturing details.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement design solutions that meet customer requirements and company standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions are feasible and meet manufacturing requirements.
  • Produce scoping calculations and basic FEA calculations to support design decisions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documents, including Basis of Design, Testing Strategies/Schedules, and Method Statements.
  • Participate in design meetings and technical reviews to ensure design solutions meet company standards.

Requirements:

  • Masters in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 0-4 years of experience in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards and engaged on a program of Continual Professional Development.
  • Working knowledge of standards, regulations, codes, and directives and how they should be applied.
  • An appreciation and understanding of the Construction & Design Management Regulations.
