Bank Mental Health Nurse

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Bank RMN. As a Bank RMN, you will have the opportunity to work in various departments across the Acute Trust, providing care to patients with complex and enduring mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the mental health care needs of patients and develop programmes of care in collaboration with the clinical team.
- Implement psychological interventions as agreed and participate in the Admission Procedure to ensure a smooth transition for patients.
- Utilize specific care planning tools, such as the nursing care plan for confused and disorientated patients, and behaviour charts for patients with cognitive impairment.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with assigned patients, carers, and relatives, and ensure that clear and accurate records and communication systems are maintained.
- Support optimum patient care management, including supporting patients with their activities of daily living, under the direction of the nurse in charge.
