Food Safety Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Food Safety Specialist to join our team at a leading food manufacturer based near Cambridge. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for overseeing and evaluating food safety and quality control processes throughout the manufacturing site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular internal audits of manufacturing processes, raw materials, and finished goods to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company quality standards.
- Detect any deviations or non-conformances, document findings, and collaborate with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Analyse quality performance data, review inspection reports, and monitor trends to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of audits, inspection findings, and corrective actions in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Support the business in preparing for audits from external bodies, customers, and certification agencies.
- Provide training on quality control processes, food safety regulations, and best practices to improve awareness and compliance across the site.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring quality management systems are effectively maintained and enhanced.
