About the Role:

This is a full-time Chef De Partie position with a variable shift schedule, working Sundays to Thursdays.

As a key member of the culinary team, your responsibilities will include:
  1. Managing day-to-day food preparation and duties assigned by senior chefs to meet the site's standards and quality.
  2. Overseeing the cooking process at your specific station, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes.
  3. Adhering to all safety, hygiene, and correct use of department utensils and equipment on site.
  4. Notifying senior chefs of inventory when running low, ensuring the kitchen remains adequately stocked with fresh ingredients and catering necessities.
  5. Collaborating with the rest of the culinary team to maintain high-quality food and service throughout the shift.
What are we looking for?
  1. Proven experience as a chef is desired, with a background in contract catering.
  2. Possession of a Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality or equivalent.
  3. Understanding and demonstration of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and processes are essential.
  4. The ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure is crucial.
  5. Excellent listening and communication skills are necessary.
  6. Understanding of standard legal policies and procedures regarding receiving, preparation, storage, and sanitation of food and menu items, including recipes, production, and presentation methods.
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
  1. Must have the Right to Work in the UK.
  2. City & Guilds certification, BTEC, or NVQ at a basic level is required.
  3. Completing a food hygiene course at Level 2 would be desirable.
  4. Excellent customer service skills are essential.
  5. Good time-management and organisational abilities are necessary.
