Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Chemotherapy Nurse to join our team in Chelmsford. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough patient assessments, administering chemotherapy drugs, and monitoring patients for side effects.

About the Role: As a Chemotherapy Nurse, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to plan and coordinate patient care. You will evaluate overall health, medical history, and potential side effects, administer chemotherapy medications as prescribed, and monitor patients for adverse reactions and side effects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patient health, medical history, and potential side effects.
  • Treatment Administration: Administer chemotherapy medications and other prescribed treatments.
  • Monitoring and Management: Monitor patients for adverse reactions and side effects, and manage their care accordingly.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and families about chemotherapy treatments and self-care strategies.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan and coordinate patient care.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need a valid RN registration, completion of a specialized chemotherapy or oncology nursing certification program, prior experience in oncology or chemotherapy administration, and expertise in administering chemotherapy and managing intravenous lines.
