Salary:

The salary for this part-time position is £12,000 per annum, reflecting the reduced working hours. However, we estimate that a full-time equivalent salary would be around £30,000.

Job Description:

This role involves carrying out various maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. As a Facilities Assistant, you will be responsible for conducting daily checks on fire escape doors, maintaining locks and hinges, and keeping pathways clear. You will also perform minor handy work, such as fixing drawers and tightening screws, as well as checking carpets for wear and tear and replacing them when necessary.

You will be required to attend to monthly Health and Safety and Fire Safety checks at our other two locations, which means you must have a full driving license and own a car. Additionally, you will need to assist with deliveries and portage, conduct fire alarm tests, and emergency lighting flick tests.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess relevant trade qualifications, such as plumbing or electrical experience. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position is desirable, along with basic literacy and numeracy skills. You must be able to carry items and have a friendly, approachable demeanor. It is essential to be confident in driving larger vehicles, such as Luton vans, and have a full driving license.
