Janitor

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at Tudor Grange Academy in Redditch.

This part-time position involves working 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The hourly rate is £11.44.

As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our staff and visitors.

• Cleaning surfaces, fixtures, and fittings in accordance with our premises specification.
• Cleaning floors, walls, partitions, and internal woodwork as required.
• Cleaning kitchen and catering areas, toilets, changing rooms, and other sanitary areas.
• Collecting and disposing of waste properly.
• Cleaning and maintaining waste bins.
• Creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly, and productive working environment.
• Maintaining records as requested.
• Refilling and replacing consumables.
• Reporting faulty equipment and maintenance requirements to the appropriate person.
• Maintaining the security of premises by securing entrances and exits as necessary and reporting potential security breaches.
• Ensuring lights and other equipment are switched off as required.
• Promoting and ensuring the health and safety of staff and visitors at all times.
• Monitoring and managing stock and supplies, cataloguing as necessary.
• Maintaining specialist equipment, checking for quality and safety, and reporting any damages or needs.
• Ensuring compliance with all health and safety policies and COSHH procedures.
• Demonstrating and assisting others in the safe and effective use of specialist equipment and materials.

Previous experience is preferred but not essential. We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual who can work independently and as part of a team.
